Education Commission
The Education Commission oversees the Christian education of the members of our church from the very youngest to our senior church attendees. The specific church functional groups that report to our commission are 1) The Sunday School, 2) The BHUMC Christian Preschool, 3) Adult Education, and 4) Methodist youth groups (junior and senior high school). We meet the third Monday of each month except July and possibly December.
Currently our Sunday School Superintendents, April Hicks and Pat Youmans, are recruiting teachers for Sunday School for the fall. Our Sunday School operates on a trimester schedule. We ask teachers to commit to either 1, 2, or 3 trimesters as they feel able to commit their time and energy. Sunday School begins this fall on September 18th. Anyone interested in attending or teaching can call the Church Office at 399-5144.
