Flood/Cleaning Buckets
The first steps in recovery from devastating floods is to remove damaged materials and to clean homes of the muck, mold and mildew that fill flooded structures and begin to grow quickly.
One of the best ways to help those faced with that process, is a simple “flood bucket” of cleaning supplies that can help get the cleanup started. Please consider helping to assemble these much appreciated and cleaning resources.
The Burnt Hills United Methodist Church is partnering with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to help hurricane and flood victims in need. We are currently collecting donations to fill buckets with much needed cleaning supplies. Through UMCOR - 100% of all monies donated go directly to relief efforts with no funds diverted for administrative costs.

Thank you so much for your wonderful response to our plea for funds to support the assembly of Flood Buckets. $2,870 has been donated through collections taken at the chicken barbecue and donations from the congregation. Unlike previous years, we will be unable to fill the buckets ourselves because of Covid-19. We will be sending a check to UMCOR where supplies will be purchased and Flood Buckets assembled in a large warehouse. Thank you for your generosity.
