Throughout the seasons of Lent and Easter, Pastor Ian will be facilitating a weekly class in conjunction with our Social Justice Action Group called The Land is Not Our Own: Seeking Repair Alongside Indigenous Communities. This class will gather at 7pm on Wednesday March 12, March 19, April 2, April 16, April 23, May 7, and May 14 at a local restaurant for fellowship and study. Utilizing material from Sarah Augustine’s The Land is Not Empty: Following Jesus in Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery and Joy Harjo’s Living Nations Living Words: An Anthology of First People’s Poetry, this small group process lays a foundation of trust and relationship, so that together participants can acknowledge injustice, honor the interconnectedness of all Creation, and seek healing, repair, and hope alongside Indigenous communities. To sign up for this class, contact Pastor Ian at 518-399-5144 or [email protected].
